Arctic offers 92 mm P9 fans!

Arctic has added a new range of fans to its catalogue with the P9, new 92 mm models. They come in a variety of forms, with Max models operating at high speed and slower PWM versions offering other advantages. Here is a brief overview!

P9: the new additions to the Arctic catalogue!

With these 92 mm fans, Arctic is offering its 5-blade fan design in a smaller format. This is ideal for certain cases and even certain air-cooled heatsink. Cooler Master’s Hyper 411 Nano and Noctua’s NH-U9 series spring to mind. In any case, the fan is based on the design of the P12 and offers five wide, strongly curved blades.

The programme includes a Max version. This is designed to operate at high speed. In fact, it has a rotation range of between 450 and 4300 rpm. Here, the airflow reaches 58.25 CFM, while the static pressure rises to 6.17 mmH2O.

The Swiss brand also offers a PWM PST version, which is more traditional, but features dual PWM connections. The mill has a male and a female connector for serial connection. Here, the speed is between 200 and 3000 rpm, while the airflow reaches 38.83 CFM. Static pressure is rated at 3.12 mmH2O.

Next up is the PWM PST CO model, where ‘CO’ stands for ‘ Continuous Operation ‘. This is a double ball-bearing fan designed to operate 24/7. Otherwise, it shares the same characteristics as the PWM PST version, whether in terms of airflow, static pressure or speed.

Finally, Arctic is promoting a so-called ‘ Low-Noise ‘ model. This version will be the slowest of all, with a maximum speed of 1900 rpm. This inevitably has an impact on airflow, which falls to 23.96 CFM, while static pressure is 1.32 mmH2O.

As for prices, these models are already available on Amazon.co.uk. The Max model retails for ~€12, as does the PWM PST CO model. The PWM PST version costs €10.49, while the Silent version costs €9.49.
